In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. (John 1:4)
We have been praying for the light of Christ to shine in our lives, in our neighborhoods, in our city and in our world. And this light has been shining. We continue to pray for this light to shine in Zambia where our friends Sarah Jayne, Dan, Regina and others are praying all night next Monday and Thursday for breakthrough in their village against the evil one and all of His oppressive forces of witch doctors, animism and fear.
We continue to pray for Japan and for John Petersen and Wendy Andrews who are going to shine his light through planting prayer rooms there along with blessing the local church, starting April 1.
We are now praying for the city of Grand Rapids as we approach the citywide prayer meeting on Saturday April 16 from 6-8p. In these last 3 weeks of Awake, we will have a focus on 4 particular areas for the city. We invite you to download this document and pray with us as we approach the Gathering. And we are praying for a friend of the Boiler Room who has recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer. He has been sober for almost two years; he has a job and he has an apartment. He comes to Love Feast and Mission Church and has been coming closer and closer to Jesus. We are praying for Christ's light to shine in two particular ways.
-that he would come to know Jesus and in the process open himself up to healing prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit
-due to his employment, his sobriety and his housing, he is not currently eligible for any assistance in the treatment process. He has been working overtime just to have some money socked away for post-operative healing time in bed. Would you join us in praying for Yahweh's provision through a change in eligibility status for assistance or through some other miraculous means?
We want Christ's light to shine on the world, in Grand Rapids and in our friends' lives. And we know when that light comes, darkness flees and the glory of God is made visible.
